Note: On the VOR modulator, set the 1000 switch to OFF. Set the PHASE ANGLE
SELECTOR on the VOR modulator to 0. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR on the VOR
modulator to CAL. Set the SPECIFIC SIGNAL SELECTOR the VOR modulator to 30
VAR. On the VOR modulator, adjust the 30 VAR potentiometer (located behind the hinged
door on the front panel) for a l-volt indication on the OUTPUT meter. On the VOR signal
generator. adjust the MOD LEVEL control for 30-percent indication on the PERCENT
MODULATION meter. Set the SPECIFIC SIGNAL SELECTOR on the VOR modulator to
9960 FM. Adjust the 9960 FM potentiometer (located behind the hinged door on the VOR
modulator front panel) for a 30-percent indication on the VOR signal generator PERCENT
MODULATION meter. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch on the VOR modulator to
ODR.
When the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch is set to ODR. the indication on the VOR
signal generator PERCENT MODULATION meter will increase to approximately 52
percent.
