CABLE AND CONNECTORS
Check cable l saembly for cracks, breaks, and damaged connector. Report defective cable to higher

KNOB AND SELECTOR SWITCH
Check that selector switch is present and secure. Turn the selector switch through its full range. It
must detent firmly in either 100 position. When turned to either 10 position, it must return to
associated 100 position when released. Report defective selector switch to higher category
maintenance.

CLAMPING BLOCK
Check for proper mounting of the TS-2609A/U. Check for damaged thumbscrew or broken chain

OPERATION
Turn transmitter on. With selector switch in 100 FWD position, check meter indication. It must
indicate transmitter output. If output is less than 10 watts, turn selector switch to 10 FWD
position. Meter should read power output as indicated on lower meter scale. Check for indication of
reflected readings by turning selector switch to RFL position as described l bove. Refer to higher
category maintenance if TS-2609A/U fails to respond properly.
